The Rocker trailer
I don’t even know what to say about this trailer for The Rocker, starring Rainn Wilson (Dwight on “The Office”) as a former drummer for a hot band who’s given a second chance to rock out when his nephew asks him to play in their band at the prom. Wilson is so obviously insane and [...]
Fox to take on Atomic’s marketing
20th Century Fox has decided to fold the marketing division of their Fox Atomic specialty label. Responsibility for marketing movies released by Fox Atomic will be split between the main Fox outlet and Fox Searchlight. Most of the employees of that division will be absorbed by one of those two other studios.
Fox Atomic was setup [...]
The Rocker poster
This poster for The Rocker, a new comedy starring Rainn Wilson from “The Office,” is not all that funny. But it does give you an idea of what the movie is going to be about.
The movie is about an almost completely washed-up drummer who’s given a second chance years after his first success to recapture [...]
28 Weeks Later DVD promoted with short films
Fox Atomic has created a YouTube account called 28 Seconds Later to promote the DVD release of 28 Weeks Later. There are a couple of animated shorts that are really funny (one of which is embedded below) and couple of longer live-action films. They’re quite well put together and it’s a bit surprising to see [...]
New video for The Comebacks
Via Steve comes this new video from Fox Atomic to promote The Comebacks. Instead of focusing on a cheerleader and her tales of woe this one features the team’s mascot, a weird oil rig character. There’s still plenty of hot chicks in there, though, so don’t worry.

Cheerleader confessions for The Comebacks
Steve Hall (shocker!) finds this series of videos from a cheerleader that are meant to promote The Comebacks. I’ll let them speak for themselves.

The Comebacks on Threadless
Online t-shirt design shop/community Threadless is holding a design competition related to the new Fox Atomic comedy The Comebacks. Entrants are supposed to create a shirt design that doesn’t contain the movie’s branded title treatment but is instead uses the movie’s themes as an inspirational starting point. You can check out all the guidelines and [...]
Fox Atomic brings Comebacks contest to Facebook
Fox Atomic has created a sponsored group on Facebook for their upcoming sports spoof The Comebacks. The group is setup primarily as a platform for a contest asking people to upload a picture of themselves displaying “school spirit” (no word on whether this would include pictures of you banging the head cheerleader). Winners get a [...]
New poster for The Comebacks
Wow. It’s almost hard to count the number of things that are pretty bad about this new poster for The Comebacks.
First off, if you have to tell the audience, via the text on the one-sheet, that it’s a spoof, then you’ve also told them that nothing about the movie will actually seem like a spoof. [...]
The Comebacks trailer
You know, I was actually OK with the idea behind The Comebacks (misfit coach brings ragtag players together) until I watched this newly released trailer. I thought it was just going to be a straight ahead comedy but the trailer makes it look like a Not Another Teen Movie-esque hodgepodge of jokes spoofing other sports [...]
The Comeback poster
I think what strikes me most about this poster for The Comeback is its subtlety, combined with the intricate use of lighting and shadow. It really is quite magnificent. [via CINE]
New 28 Weeks Later poster
Well, you knew 28 Weeks Later wasn’t going to survive all the way until release with just a generic bi-hazard themed teaser poster, did you? Here’s a more dramatic theatrical version that’s been released by Fox Atomic. It’s not bad but just sort of sits there. I guess when you’re talking about the N-teenth zombie [...]
28 Weeks Later trailer
The 28 Weeks Later trailer that debuted last weekend in front of The Hills Have Eyes 2 has hit the net. I have to admit it worked for me better than most zombie/horror trailers do, largely I think because it starts off with an actual story and doesn’t just try to latch on to the [...]
28 Weeks Later trailer in theaters tomorrow
Those of you going to see The Hills Have Eyes 2 tomorrow may see the first theatrical trailer for the zombie sequel 28 Weeks Later. Both movies come from Fox’s Atomic division.
Fox Atomic at NYC Comic-Con
Fox Atomic will be pimping a bunch of new and upcoming movies at Comic-Con 2007 in New York this weekend. Titles at the Fox Atomic booth will be 28 Days Later: The Aftermath, The Hills Have Eyes 2, 15 Gigs of Fear and The Hills Have Eyes: The Beginning. Each film will have some combination [...]
