Joining the Voce Nation

Josh Hallett has the announcement:

We’re pleased to announce that Chris Thilk is now part of the Voce Nation. He’ll be working with our dedicated social media team, which now numbers eight full-time staff. Chris will continue to be based in the Chicago area, but will make trips to the mothership in Sunnyvale, CA as needed.

Officially, Chris started in early March and has already re-found the joys of agency life . He’ll be working on a variety of projects for Intel and Comcast to name a few.

So, you know, that happened.

I couldn’t be more thrilled to be joining the team at Voce. The opportunity to work with Josh and Mike Manuel was enough to bring me back to the agency world, but since then I’ve found that the entire Voce Communications operation is filled with some of the brightest, most enthusiastic folks I’ve come across. Every single person I’ve encountered there has been eager to welcome me aboard. They’re also all seemingly the kind of people who genuinely want their clients to succeed, regardless of who gets credit. It’s all about making sure good work gets done. Those are my kind of people. Everyone’s made me feel part of the family and it’s been a great first three weeks. I’m looking forward to doing a lot of good stuff at Voce and am off, I hope, to a good start on that effort.

Let me just hit that first point a bit more solidly: Josh and Mike are two of the guys I most respect in this industry. No, you’re not going to find them quoted all over the marketing trade press, simply because they keep their heads down on their work and actually *do* as opposed to just talking a lot about what’s going on. When asked by people who some of the leaders are in this industry, they’re always on my list. And now I get to work with them, which is huge.
