Sony has bought legal action against both 20th Century Fox and, presumably, Worldwide Rush over a contract it signed to lease ad space on the side of a building along the 405 expressway in Westwood, CA.
The lawsuit says Sony signed a deal with Worldwide to lease the side of building to put movie ads on beginning April 27th. But Worldwide apparently renewed the about-to-expire contract with 20th Century Fox, who had been leasing the building for its own ads. When the mistake was brought to their attention, Worldwide opted to honor the renewal deal with Fox over the new contract with Sony. Sony is including Fox in the suit because it says the rival studio should have known better.
