The Promotion poster
I love this poster for The Promotion, a workplace comedy starring Seann William Scott and John C. Reilly. It’s not exactly the most graphically rich one-sheet or anything, but it does set the stage for the showdown between the two characters - who are both dressed as ridiculous as possible in an effort to highlight just how inconsequential this promotion they’re both vying for is in the scheme of things - very well.
The idea of office as warfront is not exactly new territory, but I’m hoping these guys can pull it off in an original manner. And, let’s face it, the notion of these two guys going mano e mano in their brown suits is a little funny in and of itself.
This movie has been championed by Cinematical and others so I’m hoping this will be one of those hidden treasure type of movies instead of a completely disaster as small movies that wind up being too clever by half sometimes tend to be.
