Noise poster

This is a goofy poster for Noise, starring Tim Robbins as a man driven mad by the noise of New York City.

The design conveys the story of the movie pretty well. Despite the lack of descriptive copy I was able to come pretty close in guessing what it was about before I looked it up. The way the NYC skyline is rendered like equalizer bars works pretty well, and the static that rises above the buildings adds a nice effect.

But while I like the idea of what they’re trying to do with Robbins’ visage in the center of the one-sheet I’m weirded out by how much it looks like Harry Truman for some reason. The bald spot on the top of his head just is odd. Like I said, I look at it and I see Truman. Not sure what that means about me or anything but there it is.
