Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emporer poster
The first poster for Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor has been released by Universal.
This third installment in the franchise proper (not counting The Mummy King) gets a teaser poster that combines elements from the first movies, the way the figure is being blown apart on one side, with new elements. Mainly the new is the fact that the figure being subjected to what can only be described as extreme wind conditions appears to be a samurai warrior. So the audience is told pretty clearly this installment is ditching the desert locations of the first movies for a more decidedly Asian setting.
It’s alright, but it’s unlikely I think to bring in new fans. It’s more about attracting those who, for whatever reason, were yearning for another Mummy movie.
