Jamie’s Teddy revealed as Cloverfield DVD campaign ramps up

cloverfield_22.JPGRemember the Jamie & Teddy love letter videos that were part of the marketing campaign for Cloverfield? Well as we near the movie’s DVD release we’re finally getting a look at what the Teddy half of that equation looks like.

That look comes on the 1-18-08 site that played such a central role in the theatrical campaign. It’s been updated with a “last seen” poster of Teddy that says the last time he was seen was 12/07/07, which further – at least in my mind – muddies the whole time continuum of the story.

I’m not the only one who did a very “Arrested Development”-esque “Him?” when I saw this, was I? I look at him and I think about her gushing about his sexual prowess and such and just think about Billy Crystal’s diatribe from When Harry Met Sally:

“A Sheldon can do your income taxes, if you need a root canal, Sheldon’s your man… but humpin’ and pumpin’ is not Sheldon’s strong suit. It’s the name. ‘Do it to me Sheldon, you’re an animal Sheldon, ride me big Shel-don.’ Doesn’t work.”
