X-Files 2 teaser poster
I hesitated to pass on this first teaser poster for the still-untitled X-Files movie last week since I had a sneaking suspicion it was a fan-made creation. But now I see it matches up with the image that’s on the movie’s official site so I’m bringing it to you now.
I actually like the poster a lot and feel it does a pretty good job of reigniting awareness of the franchise. But I also agree with Gus’ concerns that Fox needs to break out of the “This is a slam-dunk” marketing mode. We need a name and we need a trailer yesterday. Get on it.
I’m not saying ignore the strong fan base X-Files still enjoys – far from it. But they do need to do more if they’re thinking this is going to be a big hit this summer.
