Surveillance trailer
The apple doesn’t fall very far from the non-linear tree if this trailer for Surveillance, directed by the daughter of David Lynch, is any indication.
If I’m reading this correctly I think the movie is about a little girl on a road trip with her parents who gets involved in something very bad involving a coke-snorting young couple, a couple of whacked-out cops and the occasional dead person. It’s kind of hard to tell since the entire thing is filled with harshly-lit cutaways and purposefully muddy visuals, but I think that’s the gist.
It’s certainly a good trailer if it’s being judged by the standards of the community that loves Lynch and his style of filmmaking. My one concern is that, based on the trailer, it’s not different *enough* to make it really stand apart from handful of films that have attempted to mimic Lynch and his style.
