The Clone Wars trailer to be attached to Speed Racer
Reports are that the first official trailer for Star Wars: The Clone Wars will be attached to Speed Racer when that movie hits theaters in a few months. Clone Wars, of course, is the animated series Lucasfilm has been working on that bridge Episodes II and III. The first three episodes have been put together into a theatrical-length film and will debut before the series kicks off.
Presumably this will be different than the teaser footage - it’s not really a trailer, just a compilation - that debuted a few months ago. No doubt the graphics will be a bit improved and a more cohesive stand-alone product created. I like the footage (for the most part) but this isn’t a real trailer.
Both movies are coming from Warner Bros., and considering WB is shooting for a young audience with Speed and it’s good to get the kids hooked on Star Wars, this makes a lot of sense.
