Meet Dave trailer and poster
Apparently Eddie Murphy has been spending his free time looking for a project that can actually trump The Adventures of Pluto Nash on the Career Immolation Scale. That’s the only reason I can think of for him to make a movie like Meet Dave.
In the movie Murphy plays the leader of a group of aliens who have come to Earth and are walking around New York City in a transport ship shaped just like Murphy. Jokes about him not knowing how to deal with humans and about tiny people being blown out of the transport’s nose ensue.
The trailer not only presents just an awful-looking movie but also features one of the all-time worst voice-over narrations ever. It’s really bad.
And did anyone else think of the scene from Splash when Daryl Hannah speaks and shatters all the TVs when Murphy speaks and blows out all the windows?
The poster sets up the joke but is not actually funny.
Oh, and Elizabeth Banks? What the hell were you thinking?
