Indiana Jones will help you SuperPoke your Facebook friends

Paramount has added a bit of functionality to one of Facebook’s more popular applications as part of the marketing push for Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull.

indyskullsuperpoke2.jpgThe studio has partnered with Slide, maker of many of the most widely used applications on the social network, to add Indy’s whip to Slide’s SuperPoke app. If you have SuperPoke installed on your profile you can go in and see an “Indiana Jones” tab along with the usual poke options. Under that tab is a single item, Indy’s whip, which you can see in the picture to the left.

The sponsorship is being promoted on the Fan Page for the movie through this ad that appears on that page.

Yet another tactic the studio has pulled out to appeal to the members of the audience who aren’t necessarily in the core group of those who are fans from the franchise’s heyday. Plus is has the brand-interaction angle, not only reminding the poker of the movie but also the pokee.

Also, it gives you the opportunity to get Devo’s “Whip It” stuck in your head like I did. Your welcome.
