War, Inc poster

It’s been a while since the trailer for War, Inc. debuted but now we must be moving toward a release since a poster has now been released.

Much like the trailer, you’ll be forgiven if you look at it and think it’s Grosse Point Blank 2. After all both movies feature John Cusack as an assassin wrestling with his consounce. And both co-star his sister Joan and Dan Ackroyd.

It almost reminds me of a more comedic twist on Lord of War, the Nicolas Cage flick from a couple years back. The poster even strikes a similar chord with its emphasis on using bullets and shell casings in the design.

Regardless of which movie it reminds you of it’s a pretty decent poster for a movie that no one will likely see. Sorry, just being honest here. It’s probably not going to get wide release and the movie just sounds way too convoluted for a major marketing campaign that needs to play to the lowest common denominator.
