Searchlight goes mobile for Street Kings
Fox Searchlight is one of the first advertisers to take advantage of Boost Mobile’s initial foray into delivering advertising to mobile users.
The studio has placed ads for their upcoming Keanu Reeves drama Street Kings on the homepage of Boost’s mobile web browser. Clicking on the ads will take users to a special mobile microsite where they can get more information on the film.
The ad sales are being handled on behalf of Boost by mobile specialty firm Amobee.
This is a good contextual fit with the audience Searchlight is going after for Street Kings. Hitting Boost’s younger user base with ads for the movie is likely to appeal to them on a number of levels, including fans of Reeves and fans of these sorts of gritty urban dramas.
