Ice Age 3 trailer with Horton Hears a Who

According to ComingSoon, the first trailer for Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs will debut this weekend in front of Horton Hears a Who. Both movies come from 20th Century Fox.

The two movies seem to be caught in some sort of loop with each other. Horton is providing a springboard for Ice Age’s marketing now. But the Horton posters and trailers have consistently been branded as coming from the team behind the first Ice Age. The studio is obviously hoping there’s going to be a lot of crossover between the two audiences and are probably right with that assumption.

CS also has a high-quality look at the poster for Ice Age 2 3 (later ed note: Thanks for someone finding my mistake with the numbers). It’s fine as a poster but it brings to the forefront the fact that this movie is going to have a wonkier time-line than 10,000 BC.
