Step Brothers trailer

This trailer for Step Brothers that just got released is every bit as funny as I was hoping it would be.

No, seriously. It hits all the right notes and is really, really funny. I mean…Will Ferrell tries to bury John C. Reilly alive. And they both say “John Stamos.” And then Ferrell gets sucker-punched by that kid. And then the bunk beds collapse. It’s pretty much just what you’d expect but everyone looks committed to what they’re doing and it looks like they had a good time doing that so it works for me.

And it’s no accident that this is being released just a day before Ferrell’s Semi-Pro hits theaters. The one is driving the other, obviously. People watch this and think “Oh, what’s that new Ferrell movie that’s coming out? We should see that!” Ferrell is the brand and it’s all about brand engagement.
