EA to create G.I. Joe, other Hasbro tie-ins
As part of a larger scope deal between it and Hasbro, Electronic Arts will be developing the video game tie-in for the big-screen version of G.I. Joe, reports Variety.
While plans for a G.I. Joe game are not set and were not hinted at, it’s likely that title will be the one full-fledged game developed under the agreement. Other Hasbro properties like The Littlest Pet Shop and Nerf are instead probably going to be turned into casual games, which are more popular with young kids and older women (the ones who control a family’s spending).
Unfortunately, since the game is almost certainly going to be based on the upcoming disaster of a movie, it’s unlikely there will be a chance to recreate the global search for the three heavy elements needed for the Weather Dominator. Which is a shame.
