Super Bowl XLII: Semi-Pro commercial

I’m actually a little disappointed in this Super Bowl commercial for Will Ferrell’s Semi-Pro. There was nothing new there and it wasn’t even all that funny. When you’ve only bought a 15 second spot, it’s not a good idea to add anything non-movie related to it and the addition of the “If you thought tonight’s half-time show was spectacular…” lead-in just adds nothing to the commercial. The one new line “I’m the greatest man in the world” isn’t particularly funny and it’s just played over footage we’ve already more or less seen.
