Super Bowl XLII: Jumper commercial

jumpersuperpic.jpg

The Super Bowl spot for Jumper was brief and focused mainly on, well, not really much except quickly cut footage. Nothing stands still for very long, and yes I realize the irony in my typing that.

I think my problem with it is that it doesn’t spend very much time showing off the teleporting that makes up the main point of the movie. Instead it spends a lot of the setup time on the girlfriend of Hayden Christensen’s character and then shifting over to the conflict (still using Rachel Bilson’s girlfriend as the focal point) between Christensen’s teleporter and the paladin played by Samuel L. Jackson.

But it’s over before you know it and before you can get your footing, and it’s not on the YouTube channel with the rest of the Super Bowl ads, so I don’t think this will have many legs.
