The Rocker poster
This poster for The Rocker, a new comedy starring Rainn Wilson from “The Office,” is not all that funny. But it does give you an idea of what the movie is going to be about.
The movie is about an almost completely washed-up drummer who’s given a second chance years after his first success to recapture some of that glory with a much, much younger band. And the poster’s use of the lone hand with the traditional lighter waving amidst a sea of more trendy cellphone screens does a good job of conveying that “one champion of the old school” vibe.
It’s not the best poster in the wold, but I think it does a decent job of selling the movie. But how many people who are fans of “The Office” actually know Wilson’s name? I think it would have been a bit more effective if they had used his face in some manner. [via JoBlo]
