Miss Pettigrew Lives for a Day poster
I love this poster for Miss Pettigrew Lives for a Day. That’s not just because it shows a bunch of exotic dancer’s legs, with the shocked faces of stars Francis McDormand and Amy Adams. I like it because it’s showing off the same sort of movie the trailer did, one that has the two women engaging in a day that’s a little bit eye-opening and liberating to both of them.
It’s a fun, bright poster that should do a good job of selling the movie to the art house crowd that’s looking for something funny and original. The fact that it clearly pegs the movie as a period piece doesn’t hurt, of course, but I think the one-sheet stands firmly on its own merits.
