New Hancock trailer
This second trailer for Hancock, which has Will Smith playing a homeless super hero with little regard for public safety and the damage he himself causes, is just slightly different from the first one that debuted just about a week or so ago. Most of the scenes are the same, with some just slightly extended. There’s a couple of new shots in there but it’s not really trailer #2 so much as it’s trailer 1.5.
But it still contains the best stuff, which to a large extent consists of Jason Bateman’s character and his line-reading at the very end. I actually think this one works a tad bit better because of the extra breathing room this one is allotted. I don’t know – the movie will probably wind up being alright but even this trailer is not all that I don’t think. It’s big and brashy and will likely appeal to a large segment of the audience but it’s not connecting with me.
