Horton Hears a Who posters
I really like this series of posters for the animated Horton Hears a Who. They’re brightly colored, they introduce us in a fun manner to the cast of characters and they’re completely recognizable – even without the supporting title treatment – as Dr. Seuss characters. I can completely see these being popular at school book fairs and mall book stores and other places like that as part of a large Horton display.
I think what I like most about them is that they’re not afraid of white – or whatever the color is – space. The pictures of the characters are off-center, kind of tucked in the corner or off to the side – and not just close-ups. That lets the images breathe a bit and actually adds to the visual impact of them since the color is allowed to pop off the page more. Really nice efforts.
