You Don’t Mess With the Zohan trailer
The first trailer has been released for You Don’t Mess With the Zohan, starring Adam Sandler. Sandler plays an Israeli counter-terrorism agent who pulls up stakes and moves to America to achieve his dream of becoming a hair stylist.
The trailer is fairly decent, making the movie look less like a usual Sandler flick (idiot man-child defies the stuck up “grown-ups” to achieve success) and more like a Will Ferrell movie (slightly clueless egomaniac is singularly focused on one thing and eventually achieves success). The trailer works in selling the movie as a broad comedy suitable for just about all audiences and not just Sandler’s usual group of fans.
While it’s not exactly anything special, I did think there were a few funny parts in there. Unfortunately Sandler continues to think Rob Schneider is funny, which he’s not, and casts him as the main foil to his character.
