New Jumper poster

jumper-poster2.jpg20th Century Fox has released a new poster for Jumper, starring Hayden Christiansen. I’m guessing this is a European one-sheet, based on the “In Cinemas” copy, which is usually “In Theaters” on U.S. domestic posters. Plus I don’t think American audiences are savvy enough to figure out that the Sydney Opera House is a foreign location.

This one much more directly positions Christiansen’s character as some sort of super-hero, with his jet-black coat and cocky, ready for anything posture. Note, thought, that Hayden’s name isn’t anywhere on the poster. Just director Doug Lyman’s past film credits.

The change in the marketing copy also makes me think this is for international audiences. Instead of continuing the “Anywhere is Possible” line that we’ve seen in the previous trailers and the earlier poster this one says “Anywhere. Anything. Instantly.”
