New Whiteout poster
While not as geek friendly as the teaser poster that was unveiled earlier this year at Comic-Con, this new poster for the comic adaptation Whiteout is still really good. It manages to incorporate a number of elements from the story into the single image, showing a wind-blown Kate Beckinsale with her sunglasses reflecting the only tether to the outside world – an approaching plane. Overlayed on that image is the telegram type that drives the murder investigation she’s engaging in and the copy hints at “clues” and “serial killer” and “reward,” tipping off the audience nicely.
This one is obviously geared at the more mainstream audience but there’s enough on the one-sheet to still appeal to the comics crowd that it should work well. The image in and of itself is quite striking.
11/29 Update: Gus says this may be a fan-made poster. I disagree with him about some of his points regarding how well the poster conveys the movie’s story, but see where he’s coming from.
