Across the Universe official website
Sony has launched the official website for Across the Universe, the romance that features a bevy of Beatles tunes to express everyone’s emotions.
When you pull up the site the first thing you (OK, I) notice is that there’s a button to “Share trailer on Facebook.” Clicking that button automatically (after you login and confirm the action) puts the trailer on your Facebook profile and updates your status for you, saying you’ve posted a video.
It’s notable since this is the first time – at least that I’ve noticed – that a movie campaign has used Facebook like this. They’re all over MySpace but have been a bit slower to embrace Facebook. Have to see how this plays out.
The rest of the site is filled with most of the usual content. But that Facebook thing is definitely worth keeping an eye on.
