New Simpsons Movie poster
I’m not sure what to do with this new poster for The Simpsons Movie that’s been released. My previous comments about all these posters not really selling the movie very much still stands. Without the title treatment there’s nothing about this that doesn’t make it seem like any other Simpsons poster that’s been produced over the years. It’s cool – I always love a good Simpsons poster – but it’s not uniquely tied to the movie very strongly.
And we get it, guys. Homer likes donuts. Every poster that’s been released has Homer reaching for, clutching or now eating the donut that’s been used as the “O” in the movie’s title. Thank you, we’ve been watching the show for 18 years now. You don’t really need to remind us and yet this keeps being the central gag of the one-sheets.
