Rambo IV trailer/preview/clip reel
OK, I’ll admit this, however grudgingly: The clip reel/trailer/preview for Rambo IV – actually titled John Rambo – that was released over the weekend is pretty cool. There’s actually a real reason given as to Rambo’s re-entry into the world of killing lots and lots of people. And by not toning down the violence in the preview the movie is probably getting a lot more people excited than it otherwise would have. It’s much better than it really should have been or had any right to be.

As an aside, I’ve been getting hits from people searching for “rambo 4 trailer” for a long time now, back when there was just a hint of a teaser coming before principal filming had even started. That exploded over the weekend despite the fact that I hadn’t yet written anything about this new trailer. Just thought it was interesting to show how Google does indeed work in mysterious sways.

Ahh, what a tease. I guarantee the MPAA censorship board will make them water down the violence to get an R rating. If the producers really have cojones, they’ll let it go out uncensored under an NC-17.
But producers don’t have balls. My proof: the wussies in charge of Live Free or Die Hard, which is going out as a family -friendly PG-13.
