Jindabyne trailer and poster
Gabriel Byrne and Laura Linney star in Jindabyne, about a group of fishermen who discover a dead body but don’t, for mysterious reasons, report it. The group then suffers through the suspicion by others and changes in themselves that keeping this secret means for them. The trailer is pretty good, setting an appropriately spooky and ethereal tone due in large part to the music and pacing of the cuts. There’s a lot to like here.
The poster is very cool as well. Linney actually gets put front and center here in contrast to the more supporting role she takes in the trailer. This is likely because she might be more recognizable to a larger audience.
Sony Classics also launched the movie’s official website but it’s just a place-holder site now with a note that the full site is still to come.
