Good stuff from the Friends of MMM

First off, J-Pepp forwarded me an email he got about the Smokin’ Aces game you can play in Second Life. I don’t think I had caught it before but they’re actually giving away L$1,000,000 (that’s Linden Dollars, the in-world currency) to people and the one who collects the highest bounty winds.

Alex and FirstShowing’s latest poster contest is for the absolutely excellent Children of Men one-sheet.

James Gardner of Adverlicio.us gets quoted in the New York Times as an ad industry expert in an article about LowerMyBills and their unique online ads.

And speaking of James, he does his usual good job of collection online ads, including this one for The Hitcher.

The people I know are smart.

Later Update: I had completely missed it but my bestest bud at the LA Times says she isn’t really following the drama at the paper over its ownership future because she’s too busy duking it out with Aaron Sorkin.
