Kodak helps promote Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest

Kodak is gearing up to launch a major promotional effort on behalf of Disney’s Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest. The push will include free tickets being made available to Kodak customers who make purchases either online or at retail outlets. There will also be an online portion where people can upload photos of 1) a personal treasure, 2) something gold and 3) something from the sea. There will also be a treasure-map themed contest online.

Here’s the details on how Kodak will be pimping the promotion:

The Kodak promotion runs through July 31. Print ads in Ebony, Entertainment Weekly, Hollywood Life, People, Premiere, Redbook, Rolling Stone, Seventeen, Teen People and Us Weekly, online materials, radio spots and P-O-P support. Kodak plans to build buzz around the promotion via marketing teams in shopping malls. An FSI will drop June 18 promoting the sweepstakes in 45 million newspapers.
